Founded in 1964 by Charles Smith, the company provided residential moves locally and nationwide from its home in Ilford, Essex. Passed down generations to Charles son, Peter and grandson, Brett - 2002 saw the family join forces with Rick Jones. Along with bringing a wealth of knowledge in the commercial sector, Rick oversaw an introduction of new procedures and disciplines in order to increase it's share capital of a growing market.
With newly developed branding to suit continued growth, the business moved into a combined warehouse and office in Romford, Essex as EXACT Moves. During late 00's Rick's wife Michelle and sons Richard & Charlie joined the business, later having his daughter Lucy join him too.
The recession of 2008 saw great change with the business giving up its home in Romford to ensure its survival, sharing offices and warehousing in Rainham, Essex for a short while. In 2012 a 'make or break' decision was made to move back into our own home in West Thurrock, Essex - occupying a client friendly and accessible 30,000 sqft storage facility with direct access from London and the M25.
